Connecting to Wifi without Remote

How can I connect my Roku to the wifi from my phone. My phone doesn’t recognize it as a device because it is not on the Wifi

Can you set the new router Wi-Fi SSID and passphrase to be the same as the one the Roku knows?  That’s usually the easiest way. 

Banned but back. Because why not?
