Hi! For some reason my post doesn't post. Here goes the 3rd time. A friend and all his kids have Roku (the kids live in different houses). He gave me a Roku, but I have questions. I have 2 tvs---one in the basement and one upstairs immediately over the basement tv. The upstairs tv has the main cable box. I have a Netgear Nighthawk router. Both tvs are Samsung smart tvs. Do I have 2 put the USB stick in both tvs? I realize I'll have to get another remote as the Roku came with one USB stick and one remote. If I connect the upstairs tv, will I be able to connect the basement tv to that via the router to have the same access to everything? The router is in the basement. Is my router powerful enough for this? Do I need a separate router for each tv? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
One Roku per TV. For most people one Router per house. (That's not to say some people don't have more.) When you say "powerful enough", I'm guessing you mean the Wi-Fi signal strength? That's very hard to predict for someone else's home. An HD stream needs a fairly modest amount of bandwidth by modern internet standards.
The connection from the Roku to the TV is HDMI, just like any other video device. Many Rokus have a USB connector for power. This is preferably connected to an AC adapter. (Yes, most TVs do have a USB port or two, but they don't always provide enough power.)
What Roku model number do you have. I ask because there is a history of people coming here after getting free Rokus that came out when they invented fire, and many of them are not really useful anymore.
And by the way, justwatch says that Blake's 7 is streaming on Britbox.
