I have 2 Roku Express. I can set up first one just fine. When I try to set up the second one, it can find my wireless network but it cannot find the internet. Gives me an Error 009? I have switched the 2 units and can set up the second one just fine but then when I go back to set up the first one it cannot find the internet and I get Error 009 again. Help please...
Are you saying that you can get both to work, just not at the same time?
Yes. Separately, they both work just fine.
I would suspect your network equipment. Try restarting everything involved - gateway/modem/router. Unfortunately, they don't explain what exactly those error codes mean.
Hi, @meerkat-joe
Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community.
We came across your post regarding some difficulties connecting your Roku device to your network connection and receiving an Error code 009, and we'd be happy to assist in resolving this issue. For this specific error code, it means your Roku device is connected to the router, but not able to connect to the internet. We recommend performing troubleshooting steps instructed below.
For more information, please be guided by this support article on What should I do if I cannot connect to my home network or the internet?
Hope that this information helps, and let us know if you have further concerns or inquiries.

Thanks! I tried restarting everything but still have the same issue. The first device with connect to the router and find the internet, the second will connect to the router but cannot find the internet. In the response I got from Roku they said to actually "reset" the router vs just unplugging it and waiting 30 seconds or so. I will try the reset (if my router has a "reset")
Yeah! I updated the firmware on my router and rebooted it. Still the same problem. But if I power down the first Roku that is connected to the internet, then I can connect to the internet with the second Roku. But if I then go back to the first Roku it is still connected to the router but has been kicked off the internet.
