sound diminishes then might get very loud w/ Streaming Stick+

After being on a streaming channel awhile, the sound diminishes then might get very loud. I then unplug from electrical outlet for a bit, then plug back in.  Most times that helps.  Or, I change the channel and return to it later, but I lose program content either way.

An earlier Roku stick had no such problem, but the remote died, & rather than spend $ on a replacement, I opted to buy a new one.  Seems both my purchases were a bad deal.

Is there anything to be done for this audio issue?

You may have "volume modes" enabled causing the volume changes.

Do this:

1) During playback (any video):  Press Options (*)/Volume Mode = Off

Otherwise ad insertions/breaks are known to cause volume changes/dropouts/latency/stuttering/noise/etc - you cannot prevent this aside from limiting ad playback via higher subscription levels (some services), and you'll need to direct complaints about this to Roku and/or the app/service provider about the issue.
