Re: Vizio M507-G1 can't display Dolby Vision with Roku Ultra

OK, just tested my Stick 4K+ on my Vizio V405 TV. The Stick reports the display as 4K/Dolby Vision capable. I used the Disney+ app for testing, as that's the only streaming source I have with DV content. I selected the original Iron Man movie to test, which D+ says provides DV. Once the movie loaded and began streaming, the Dolby Vision icon appeared on the screen. Pressing the info button on the TV remote confirmed it was a DV video being displayed.

The Stick 4K+ (3821) has HDMI 2.0b, same as my Ultra 4800. So there's no question that Dolby Vision does NOT require HDMI 2.1. I will say that neither my Vizio nor my LG TV (the only two DV capable displays I have) indicate the refresh rate, so I can't say for certain if they are outputting 4K/30 or 4K/60. But that's immaterial since I am absolutely getting DV on both TVs.

Thanks Dan!  That's good to know.  I'll keep digging around...or give up as I'm not sure how much content has DV anyway.

Much appreciated!
