I don't know, can't figure it out. We moved out to the country 16 months ago, no Cable TV available here, only fiber or satellite. We chose fiber. Before moving I had Tivo's on cable, never had any problems... 5.1 audio was easy. My TV is a Samsung UN65F8000, old but top-line in 2013. Receiver is a Pioneer Elite SC-07, also old. I myself am older than dirt. Watching an Amazon Prime movie last night I was surprised to notice the receiver display indicate Dolby Digital Plus... didn't think it supported that although it does support Dolby TrueHD. But I am happy now. Everything is working to my satisfaction, and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning sounded spectacular.. 🤪
P.S. - I failed to point out that although we moved 16 months ago, we're on 14 acres here and there's always plenty of stuff to do. I'm just getting around to hooking up the receiver to the TV.
