Anybody ever solve this problem? I just loaded the Roku channel on to a new Firestick and I keep getting the same message for every show/movie: "Unable to play the content at this time. Please try again later."

If the Roku Channel on Firestick is not playing any shows, try these steps:

  1. Open Settings and check your internet connection. Restart your modem or router if needed.

  2. Go to Settings, then Applications, then Manage Installed Applications. Select Roku Channel and clear cache and data.

  3. Force stop the Roku Channel from the same menu, then restart your Firestick from the My Fire TV section in Settings.

  4. Update both Firestick and the Roku Channel app. Check for updates in the About section under My Fire TV and in the Amazon App Store.

  5. Uninstall the Roku Channel from Manage Installed Applications, restart Firestick, then reinstall it from the Amazon App Store.

  6. If Amazon is restricting access, try using a VPN to bypass regional limitations.

If the issue persists, Roku Channel might not be fully supported on Firestick anymore. Let me know if any of these steps help.

Hi @Big_Tim,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Thanks for letting us know that you are unable to play any content on the Roku Channel. We would like to investigate this issue further.

We would like to know the following:

  • Model of your Roku device that you're having an issue with.
  • When did this issue start?
  • Have you tried playing the other channels to see if the same issue occurs?
  • Photo of the TV screen showing the error.

How do I insert an image in a post?

We look forward to your reply.

Thanks,
The Roku Community Team
