Screen goes black after selecting and starting a movie/tv show

I just started having the same problem.  Anyone know how to fix it?

Re: Screen goes black after selecting and starting a movie/tv show

Hi @matzif,

Thanks for the post.
Can you please specify the issue you are experiencing? What are the steps to reproduce the issue? What specific Roku model device are you using? How is the device set up? Do you have any external audio devices connected to your home setup? What troubleshooting steps have you already taken to try to resolve the issue?

With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.

Thanks,

Anjelie

I'm having the same issue.

What seems to be a temporary fix is going to display settings, selecting another resolution, playing something (for me, it shows an image but a distorted/cut off one at this point) then returning to display settings and selecting your original resolution.

For me that's 4k HDR => 4k => 4k HDR, however even after that it doesn't actually seem to enable 4k HDR (examining the pixels it may actually just be 1080p upscaled, but that also could be the content), it is just able to play content
