My new Roku Streambar comes on with a transparent black bar on top of the screen that tells me that the audio device is recognized and set up (or something like it). The problem is, that transparent black bar at the top of the screen never goes away. Help.
And... I've used Roku for years and this new Streambar just seems slower to load anything -
Hi @otagg,
Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community!
We understand you are having a problem with the Roku streambar since there was a black bar on the top of the screen. We're happy to assist you further. Can you please provide the following information below?
In the meantime, you can try to restart your Roku streambar by going to settings, system, and system restart.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
John
That's probably coming from your TV. Try using the TV's remote to get rid of it.
It is NOT the TV. It's never happened before, with my same TV and my old Roku. It only happens with the new Streambar Roku.
I am currently not at home so I can't send you a picture of it, but this worked earlier today.
BUT - the black transparent bar randomly is there on startup, which is annoying. Sometimes it clears itself. Sometimes quickly. Mostly not quickly. Sometimes it doesn't go away at all.
Having to reset the Roku Streambar Every Time It Happens means that something in the Streambar is broken/intermittent, right? Something is NOT working correctly. Something is not OK.
The Streambar is new - now what?
