Roku stuck on loading screen and the player won't reset

I have a Express 3906X on my Vizio TV, ran an errand and can back to the logo screen, The Software update fails, the Factory reset doesn't work and its stuck in Recovery mode. Bought in May 2024.

    Thanks for letting us know your Roku Express 3906X  is in recovery mode. We would be more than willing to help you resolve this.

    We highly recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Restart your Roku device by unplugging it from the power source for 10 seconds.
    2. Try switching HDMI ports and input.
    3. As a last resort, try a factory reset. How to system restart or factory reset your Roku streaming device

    If the issue persists, please keep us posted, and we'll continue assisting you from there.

Roku stuck on purple start up screen bouncing letter have tried everything suggested even factory reset this happed right after an update please help

Thanks for sharing this with us. We understand how frustrating this issue can be and we'd like to be able to help you investigate this matter. 

Could you please provide the following information below?

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and Software Version. (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button five times, followed by the Back button five times, and provide us with this ID)

We are eager to get you back on streaming. Please get back to us so we can sort this out quickly.
