Re: Roku Ultra pauses itself randomly (not buffering)

Welcome to the Roku Community, @pack372

Thanks for flagging this issue to us. We appreciate your effort to resolve the problem, and we'd be more than willing to assist you further.

Are you experiencing this issue across all channels? If so, have you tried rebooting your router? Also, did you receive any recent updates? To make sure that you're already on the latest software version, try checking on it by going to Settings > System > About

We would also suggest trying your Roku device on another TV to see if the issue persists to further isolate the issue.

In the meantime, you can visit this support article to resolve a channel playback issue.

All the best,
Emman

Re: Roku Ultra pauses itself randomly (not buffering)

@pack372Out of curiosity, have you tried using a network app such as WiFi Analyzer for Android or something similar if you have an iPhone? I ask since there's a chance the issue is tied to channel congestion. If you haven't explored this, once the app is installed you'll be able to see how many others use the same channel/band then log into the router and change to one that's less congested. If this doesn't help, not sure what else to tell you.
