Solving playback issues

While watching the Happy Kids app, the Roku Box crashed and will not boot. 

It shows the Roku letters start up screen then black screen.

I've swapped power adapters and tried it in another room with a different TV, no luck.

@Gbrown313 What Roku device do you have?  Model number not name would be helpful if you know it.  I would try a factory reset.  Depending on the device may have a button or may need a paper clip to push in hole for a factory reset.  Hold for 30 seconds when doing the factory reset.

I'll try the factory reset tonight.

I tried the factory reset and that did not fix the issue.

How are you powering the Roku device? Is the device plugged into the TV USB port or is it plugged into a wall outlet?

I tried powering it with a Samsung TV usb port as well as a USB power brick.

Good old Roku Danny! He’s so amusing. Not in the least helpful though. At least the didn’t ask you for a bunch of numbers. Check out some of the other posts under reboot.
