Replaced Roku Ultra with Ultra 2024 CEC Audio adjusts both tv and soundbar instead of just soundbar

Hi.  I just bought a Roku Ultra 2024.  I'm replacing an earlier model of a Roku Ultra.  On my old one, CEC worked properly.  If the soundbar was output the roku remote would only adjust the soundbar.

On my new player, the remote control audio function is adjusting both the TV volume and the soundbar volume instead of just the soundbar when the soundbar is enabled.  I am going to use the older unit in another room, but I haven't reprogrammed the remote yet.  It still adjusts the audio correctly on the new Roku 2024 Ultra unit, which obviously leads me to believe it's a remote control setting but I can't find a solution.  What am I missing here?

Nevermind, the issue was the remote was to IR mode instead of CEC.

Nevermind, the issue was the remote was to IR mode instead of CEC.
