Hi Forum Folke,
Just upgraded from a troublesome Roku Express to a new Roku Ultra. Now I'm suddenly seeing this "micro-hitch" or stutter that happens simultaneously in both audio and video, and I don't believe it has anything to do with framerate, because it's most noticeable when streaming Pandora, which is 95% audio and 5% video... just a graphic of the "cover" for the album panning VERY slowly up and down while the audio plays.
This issue was NOT present with the Roku Express (many *other* issues, but this wasn't one of them.) Same TV (Vizio), modem/router, same ISP... ONLY change to the setup was switching from the Express to the Ultra.
It's actually more like a micro-freeze, of maybe a quarter of a second or less (approx 200 msec) or so... can't exactly time it, but it's *very* brief, but absolutely noticeable. It happens regularly/periodically, maybe every three to five minutes or so, occasionally it seems to happen more frequently, but that might just be subjective; if it's important I can time the interval and keep a log and come back with that.
Any ideas where I should start looking? Where it seems to be an issue with the Roku Ultra itself, I'm not sure where to start poking around in any settings. If anyone else has seen this as well, or has ideas of what the issue might causing this, I'd love to hear from you!
