Menu has a memory leak or it is just to big.

It appears the menu has a memory leak or it is just to big/using to much memory.

I noticed as things kept getting added over time to the menu. I think you over did it and now I have to reboot my TLC tv's all the time.  This appears to be a real issue on my 2 and 3 year old TLC Roku tv's.

Can this get fixed please.

Thanks

@rckt45-

What are the symptoms that make you think this is happening?

If you mean the apps menu, you can always remove those you don't want. To delete, just highlight on screen, hit the asterisk * button, and choose remove.

On a Roku, the apps are mainly placeholders. It will download as needed. If memory runs out, it removes the oldest program code (but keeps settings) to make room. The next time you try to run that app, it will re-download it

Re: Menu has a memory leak or it is just to big.

I am thinking this because after a fresh unplug for a minute then restart the Roku TV. The remote features appear to move quickly and precise.  But after a few days of use on and off, etc.  The basic  feature appears to get real slow. Hit the down arrow to move to a new app it delays the move.  Sometimes it just sits there and doesn't move.  Sometimes it will even reboot the tv , just out of the blue while you are trying to switch through the apps when it is acting up.  So, the first thing that comes to mind is something is not disposing in memory cache and it builds up over days.

I am not referring to the Roku channel Guide , This is concerning the basic App menu.

Some TV's have marginal memory and processors compared to standalone devices.
