Solving playback issues

On my Roku TV when I click on either Fox CNN or ESPN or Fox sports ot pauses for a moment a d then goes back to the home page. Internet and modem are fine and working throughout the house and on another firestick tv. I have removed and reinstalled the app.

We're aware that you're experiencing issues with your Fox and CNN channels and appreciate the troubleshooting you've attempted.

To help resolve the issue, we recommend revisiting the following steps and ensuring that they are precisely followed.

1. Uninstall the channel by highlighting it, pressing the * button, and selecting "remove".
2. Clear cache and data: From the Roku home screen, navigate to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Network connection reset. Choose "Reset connection" and then-
3. Restart your Roku device by unplugging your TV and then plugging it back in. This step can help clear any temporary cache or data-causing issues.
4. Check your internet connection: Ensure that your Roku device is connected to a stable internet connection. You can test your internet connection by going to Settings > Network > Check connection on your Roku device. If your connection is weak or unstable, try restarting your router or contacting your internet service provider for assistance.
5. Reinstall the channel by pressing the home button on your Roku remote, scrolling and selecting "Store", and then adding the channel from there.

This seems to be a Roku issue. I have noticed that all of my Fox apps have quit working on my Roku TV. However, I can go to my Shield Android box on the same TV and they work without any issues. I have tried all the recommended fixes and none of them work.

@Damonmack, the apps are completely different and it's been clear for a while that the Fox developer for the Roku app has no idea what he's doing.

One thing:  if you're using Home to exit the app(s), try backing out with the Back button until you get back to the Home Screen.  Pressing Home is akin to pressing reset on a computer - the app has no warning and no way to clean up anything.
