Excessive AV Skew. What application can do with this error?

Jump to solution

Hello everyone, I am a Brightscript developer looking to understand the Excessive AV Skew error.

I have been notified by users that the application I was working on was causing them to encounter the "Excessive AV Skew" error. I'm attempting to determine whether the application itself has any influence over this. The Roku player is an independent component, and I don't really have any control over the audio and video synchronisation. I'm curious as to why the error might be occurring, whether it has to do with the overall performance of the app and the amount of memory available to the player to buffer the content, or whether there might be a problem with the content itself.

Think this would be more likely to get in answer in the developers forum:
