Channels keeps going back to homescreen

My Roku TCL TV allows me to choose an app choose a movie plays a very little bit of it shows the TCL Roku screen for a bit then goes back to the Home Screen. 
nothing new has been added and nothing has been deleted. In fact nothing at all has been changed. I have done a system restart and it is still doing the same thing

Thank you for bringing up the issue of channels going back to the home screen.

we recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote, and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings > System > System restart, specifically in that order. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.
  2. Make sure you power your Roku device through a wall outlet. If you power the device through a TV USB port, the TV may not be providing sufficient power to run channels on your Roku device.

If you are still experiencing an issue, we'd love to investigate further to find a solution, but we'll need a bit more information. Could you let us know which Roku TV model you're using? Also, which channels are giving you issues? It would be helpful if you could share the troubleshooting steps you've already tried. Have there been any recent updates that might have triggered the issue?
