Solving playback issues

The picture quality and brightness are both better on the native LG G4 (OLED65G4SUB, 2024), than on my brand new Roku Ultra 4850R (2024).  It's quite obvious.   I have the Display Type set to Automatic (4k Dolby Vision) on the Roku Settings.   Using the supplied HDMI cable.   Is this a common problem?   Is there a solution?  I would really like to use the Roku Ultra, but not if the picture quality is worse.

Please note that the picture settings on your TV and Roku device may be different. To get the best picture quality, compare the settings on your TV and adjust the Roku input settings accordingly.

TVs often have different settings for various apps and inputs, which can affect the picture quality.
