I trying uninstall and reinstall the app.  Worked for a day then stopped working.  We have android phones and the app won’t turn plugs on/ off.  Tried resetting the plugs.  What else is there to try?

Google home, it never fails, just create a home then link your Roku account to your Google account and voila!!

I just tried this. My app still doesn't work for my smart plugs or doorbell camera.

I don't know what google home is.  I want to be able to control the plugs when I am away, to make it look like I am home.  Lights on, lights off.

Hi,

Short explanation: Google home is an app that can control (turn on/off) your Roku smart devices (plugs,lights, cams etc.) Like the Roku app does. As we all know by now, the Android Roku app in on the fritz since the last upgrade. Google home is a nice alternative until the folks at Roku fix the app.

So in order for Google home to work with your Roku devices, they have to be setup in the Roku app first. So if your devices are setup in the Roku app but non responsive, you can use Google home to control them,but if your devices are not setup in Roku,  you cannot use Google home.

For Google home: chances are it is already installed on your phone, if not go to the playstore ,search for Google home and install it. Then open it, create a home,then link your Roku account to your Google account, your devices will automatically be in the "devices " tab in Google home where you can turn them on or off.

Thank you.  I think this works.  Roku is still not responding unless I uninstall and reinstall it.  I hope they fix this soon.

Good, glad it works, but by the way, when the Roku app does not let you control your devices don't uninstall/ reinstall, instead, sign out then sign in, that should do the trick.

In the home page, tap the bottom right "account" icon, then on the account page, go to account, sign out then sign in

There is no error message, I click on/off and it shows the change for on the app, but the lights do not respond.  Settings schedules do not load.  I have an android phone.
