Re: Smart home app not connecting
Hi,
Join the club!!! I have the same issue so does a LOT of folks. By what I read on many treads in the community, the consensus seems to be that since the last recent update ,the Android version of the Roku app is broken! The only quick fix suggested by members (not Roku) is exactly what you did : sign out, sign in. My solution, like you, is to use Google home.

Re: Smart Home app continues to crash error code is 1003
I've reported this by phone call, and by community post...I'm fed up Roku is just about to lose a customer. I'm paying for a subscription of which my service on the smart home app has not been available. Why can't the Roku IT dept. get this repaired. WARNING: Roku is about to loose a customer who will give a review. There is competition awaiting to provide me service Remember that!

Re: Smart home app not connecting
I have been having this same issue for a few weeks now (error message- 'failed to retrieve data') and the only solution is to uninstall and reinstall the app. It's a pain.

Re: Doorbell camera Error 1003
I have the same problem. I have 2 Samsung phones where the issues is almost an every other day occurrence and my husband has an IPhone and has no issues. The worst part is I turned off my 2-part verification because for some reason, even though MY number is the one listed for the code verification, they keep sending the code to my husbands number and it isn't even listed on my account. I'm ready to go out and buy something that actually works all the time and not just some of the time.

Re: Smart home app not connecting
Hi RokuReynan-L
I just did uninstal/reinstalled the app just minutes ago. Everything seems to work for now. I noticed that after the latest upgrade, I was on V3.2.2(441) and now after the reinstall, I am on V3.2.3(448) so this is an unpublished upgrade fix I assume?
Anyway, I will monitor my app to see if the problem reappears or not.
I will keep you posted either way in a couple of days.

Wireless doorbell error 1003
Add me to the list! Roku, are you working on a solution? The Smart Home app is on an android. Once issue started it becomes more and more frequent. Doorbell rings, notification arrives on phone, but cannot connect to live feed. I must remove app and reload it to connect again at least for a little while.Doorbell firmware version is V5.2.0.19 which is apparently up to date.
I don't have a subscription and will obviously not until error is resolved.
HELP!!!!

Re: Wireless Doorbell Error 1003 FOR WEEKS NOW
I have cancelled my subscription which already lapsed. I am not a huge fan of Amazon's data mining but I have bought a ring cam to replace my Roku doorbell. The Roku players in my house will also be replaced, 2 of them already have been. I guess "die the hero or live long enough to be the villain" is true
