We just updated our Roku from the model 2710X because we could no longer access Amazon Prime. We never have had any problems with our first Roku. We bought the Roku Streaming Stick 4K and installed it in the same HDMI port as the old Roku was installed in. We were able to activate all the streaming channels with no problem, including Amazon Prime.
But we can no longer switch back to access our cable channels. When we try to switch sources to HDMI2, which has always worked with our original Roku, there is no cable signal now with the new Roku.
I have searched for help with this and spent time on chats and with our cable provider, but no one has come up with a solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What exactly are you seeing? If you're seeing a message like "no signal" than you cable box has probably come loose or the cable is damaged or not fully inserted, or perhaps the box was turned off. If you can switch, but find that it switches back to the Roku, then on the Roku try turning off 1-touch play on the Roku (Under Home->Settings->System->Control other devices).
We switched the power source (though the install says it might not be as reliable). It works fine now.
