No Activation Email

Roku Express - This system will not send my activation email. I have checked my email address numerous times. Email is working perfectly. I’ve received 15 or so other emails today. I have performed at least a dozen  factory resets. I have clicked the resend button at least fifty times. It just comes back saying “We can’t seem to reach you by email.” I checked my Spam folder, my Trash folder, and my inbox repeatedly. I’ve been trying for two days at all different times of the day. I read where tons of other people had the same problems and believe it to be a Roku problem, not user error or a wifi issue. At this point it’s like playing a a slot machine at a casino. I keep pushing the button hoping this time is my lucky winning time. But it’s not. It never is. I am reposting the issue because the previous post claims the issue is solved several weeks ago when it clearly isn’t. I ordered a Firestick today. When it’s delivered tomorrow I’ll go with whichever service works. I have a feeling I’ll be returning the Roku. I’m beyond frustrated with it after giving up several hours over two days trying to get an activation link. Very disappointed.

Hopefully the support team can figure out the issue and get it resolved soon.  I have been waiting for a few days.  Nothing!  Called and created a ticket.  Nothing!  That seems to be the theme, TV has nothing and neither does the support team.  Frustrating to spend the money we have spent and have a TV that is a blank wall hanging.

I am finding it is a "Hurry up and wait" experience when it comes to the Roku IT team.  Can not believe that an issue that seems to be months old is still an issue for the Roku IT professionals.  I would hope they could figure out how to fix an issue that renders customer devices useless would be more of a priority.  But for now we customers have to wait until they can figure out why email can not be reached by their devices.

Since Sunday 6/20 I have clicked the resend button at least 100 times. I have done at least 25 factory resets. I have reset my modem/router at least ten times. Still no activation email. Still no customer service. I can only assume Roku has outgrown their ability to provide service.

Hi @Troymorrison,

We appreciate your patience regarding this matter. I understand that you are unable to receive an email activation code.

Have you tried performing a factory reset on your device. This will reset all settings and return your Roku device to a state ready for initial setup.

If you are still unable to get an activation code, we recommend rebooting both your wireless router and your Roku device.

We also suggest checking for the email on your spam or junk folder if it's not on the inbox.

If you are still having any issues after following these steps, please provide the serial number of your Roku device so we can assist further.

All steps have been taken more than a few times without resolution.  Serial number and more has been provided to support team and nothing has been resolved.

Mary, I have factory reset 12 times. I have reset my router twice. No it's not going to my junk mail! This seems like you are just stalling because you don't know how to fix it. I've already given you my serial number so why are you asking for it again?

since roku doesn't care about fixing this problem I will explain how I got mine to work without any help from roku first do the factory rest then in the initial setup pass on putting in your internet just put in everything else first then go into the internet should work I hope you have good luck with it because roku doesn't care because they already have your money
