Re: Trying to convert an old television to Roku capability

Was just looking at the Amazon converter link again.

Does says that needs 5volt, 1amp power supply adapter. (not included)  Any cell phone charger adapter will work.  This is the same as the Roku device's power adapter (5volt, 1amp).

@shirleywoff

Looks like you are on your way...hopefully.  👍

Keep in mind with this kind of setup that the video and audio quality is not going to be as good as an HDMI compatible TV, but certainly gives some new life to older TVs.  There may be some quirks along the way but at least you should be able to stream from your Roku now.

Re: Trying to convert an old television to Roku capability

Did you eliminate the double vision by switching the PAL/NTSC switch or something else?  See if moving the converter away from any AC power cords helps with the waviness.

Re: Trying to convert an old television to Roku capability

I’m able to get around that… I just need to get back to being able to adjust the volume and color.

Thank you, folks, so very much… Lunch is on me!

Re: Trying to convert an old television to Roku capability

Sorry about sounding like a broken record, but does switching the PAL/NTSC switch on the side of the converter do anything?
