Brand new Roku Streaming Stick 4K. The stick is recognized by the tv and starts to go into setup. At the screen to choose language, when I hit "ok" for English, I just get the normal Roku sound you get when you press an invalid key. The remote is paired and controls all other functions of the TV (TCL55 Roku tv). I've also tried installing on a newer TCL and encounter the same issue. I've rebooted both the tv and the Roku stick, tried different HDMI port

RESOLVED! Took the Streaming Stick back and exchanged it for a replacement. Booted up and configuration proceeded as normal.
Just my luck to get a defective product. Thanks to all.

Re: Stuck at Language selection
Just for clarity. The TCL55 Roku TV already has HULU configured via the onboard Roku system and it is working (just slow). The new remote is able to control all functions, so I know the pairing was successful. I'm trying to configure the Streaming Stick to take advantage of the newer technology for a faster response time. The TV is 7 years old.

Re: Stuck at Language selection
Are you using the remote that came with the stick? It kind of sounds like you're trying to use the TV's remote to control the stick. I wouldn't think the stick's remote would control the TV at all right out of the box.
