Sound issues - TLC Roku / Denton DHT S514

Jump to solution

Hello - trying to connect my DHT S514 to TLC Roku TV.

Here are the details - HDMI cord is plugged into sound bar and TV. Roku recognizes it as eARC (DHT S514).

In audio settings - audio output - eARC (HDMI 4): ARC ACTIVE , System audio control: Active

Yet no sound plays out. The remote can increase or decrease the sound but even at 100 nothing is coming out.

Also - Sound bar is now listed as an input on Roku Home - is that correct?

Thanks!

Greetings from the Roku Community, @zgormz!

We see that you're trying to set up your Denton DHT S514 for your Roku TV, and we're here to assist you.

To start, have you tested if your external speaker works on a different TV? Also, have you tried enabling CEC on your Roku TV? Please follow these steps to enable CEC:

  • CEC steps:
    1. Press Home on your Roku remote
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select Control Other Devices (CEC)
    5. Scroll and highlight System audio control
    6. Check the box to enable the System audio control
    7. Highlight 1-touch play
    8. Check the box to allow 1-touch play
    ARC steps:
    1. Perform Roku TV CEC steps 1 through 4
    2. Scroll and highlight ARC
    3. Check the box to enable the ARC

We recommend trying to see if that resolves your issue and keeping us posted.

Thanks,
Jharra
