I have just bought a Roku Express 4K. I have spent the last hour in a loop in which I selecta language, connect to Wi-Fi, it checks for updates, says an update is available, downloads the update, restarts and then does the same thing at least a dozen times now. Is this normal and how many updates could there be?

It's not normal. It should only update and reboot once. If you have it plugged into the TV's USB port, try using a USB power adapter plugged into the wall.

I am having the same problem. I have power thru a wall outlet and have tried the reset numerous times. Still in an endless loop. ?

Re: Seemingly endless loop of update and restart
I did have it plugged into the USB port on the TV. I switched to the wall adapter and that solved the problem for me. Thank you for the suggestion.

Re: Seemingly endless loop of update and restart
@Firebot63, are you using the USB power adapter that came with it or did you not get one with your Roku device? If you're using the one that came with it, it might be time to return it (assuming it's new). About the only thing you can try is a factory reset, but that will probably return it to the same state that it's in now. If you didn't get a USB power adapter with it, make sure the one you're using has fine print on it that reads something like, "Output: 5V 1A (or 1000mA)". Anything greater than 1A/1000mA is all right, but anything less is not.
