I have been using the Roku 3810X streaming stick+ and recently upgraded my TV from a relatively new Samsung TV to the Samsung TV QN55S95BAFXZA. Previously, when I turned on the TV, it started on the Roku home page. On the new TV, it starts up on the Samsung home page, which may be referred to as the Samsung Smart Hub Home. The Roku home page is displayed in a small box on the TV and after about 30 seconds goes to the Roku home page. How can I get the TV to start on the Roku home page?
Check your Samsung manual. This is a function of the TV, not your Roku.
From the Samsung home screen, go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Option and disable the “Start with Smart Hub Home” option.
You sir, are a god amongst men. I never in a million years would have found this setting until I broke down and went line by line through every option under Settings. You just saved me about 45 minutes of very angry remote mashing.
