My Roku Express 4k randomly quit working after having just over a year. I can unplug it from power and plug it back in and the ROKU letters will dance and then the signal is goes out and won't come back, even if I try the reset button. I tried multiple Roku power sources but nothing worked. Any ideas???
Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:
Verify power source: Ensure that the power adapter is firmly connected to both the Roku device and a working power outlet. Try using a different power outlet or a different power adapter to eliminate any issues with the power source.
Check HDMI connection: Confirm that the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the Roku device and your TV or display. Consider trying a different HDMI cable or port on your TV to rule out any potential issues.
Perform a factory reset: To perform a factory reset, locate the reset button on the Roku device (usually a small pinhole) and press and hold it for about 20 seconds or until the device's lights begin to flash. This will reset the device to its default settings. After the reset, set up your Roku again and see if it resolves the issue.
Try a different display: If possible, connect your Roku Express 4K to a different TV or display to see if the problem persists. This will help determine if the issue lies with the Roku device or the TV.
Contact Roku support: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's recommended to reach out to Roku's customer support for further assistance. They can provide more specific troubleshooting steps or guide you through the warranty process if necessary.
Remember that these are general troubleshooting steps, and the specific instructions may vary depending on your Roku device model.

Thanks for the response. None of these steps helped. There's not even a response from the unit when I press the reset button. Only when I unplug and plug back in, and the unit quits sending any signal after about 30 seconds.
Thanks for the posts in the Roku Community.
When trying to perform a factory reset, are you making sure to press and hold down the reset button for at least 30 seconds, regardless of what is happening on screen?
