1. Connect the Roku Streaming Device to a TV
- Ensure your TV has an HDMI® port. Plug the Roku device into the HDMI port on your TV.
2. Connect the Roku Device to the Network
- For devices without an Ethernet port: Connect via Wi-Fi.
- For Roku players with an Ethernet port: Use a compatible third-party Ethernet adapter for a wired connection.
- For Roku Streaming Sticks: Connect via Wi-Fi, as these do not have an Ethernet port.
3. Download the Latest Updates
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install any available software updates.
4. Set Up Your Roku Voice Remote to Control Your TV
- Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your Roku voice remote with your TV. This will allow you to control your TV power and volume.
- To set up a Roku Players remote, insert new matching batteries, remove the battery pull tab, and point the remote at the front of your Roku device.
5. Activate Your Device
- Create or use an existing Roku account:
- Create an account by visiting my.roku.com/signup or using the Roku mobile app.
- If you already have a Roku account and are activating a new device, link all Roku devices to your existing Roku account to easily set up and maintain devices with your preferences.

- Link your device: Go to the activation link sent to your email or scan the QR code provided on your screen. Follow the instructions to complete the activation and linking process.
6. Enjoy Your Roku Device!
- Once you've completed all the steps, your Roku streaming device is ready to use. Customize it by changing the theme pack or screensaver, and adding new streaming channels, games, and other apps from the Roku Streaming Store.

- Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your Roku voice remote with your TV. This will allow you to control your TV power and volume.
- To set up a Roku simple remote, you only need to insert new matching batteries, or remove the battery pull tab, and point the remote at the front of your Roku device.
