Roku setup

Connected the roku stick to the hdmi input on a Yamaha receiver.  Output from receiver is to an overhead projector. 
setup screens worked fine, sound is good but once connected to my cable service the receiver turns off after about 30 seconds.  Everything works, shows play with picture and sound but receiver keeps turning off.

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but try turning off 1-touch play on the Roku (Under Home->Settings->System->Control other devices).   And/or turn off HDMI-CEC in the receiver.  This is just to reduce/eliminate the possibility that it is shutting down because it thinks it's being told to.)
