Roku setup

I let a friend stay at my house a while back & unbeknownst to me, he somehow changed the logged in account to my Roku 3 device.  I would like to change it back to my account but can't because he has since passed away & nobody has access to the email that he used to login to my Roku device.  I tried a factory reset but that would require me to find out what PIN he used & I have no way to get it.  Can anyone help me?

Are you speaking of the PIN that's requested when you perform a "Factory reset" from Settings->System->Advanced system settings?  If so, it gives you the PIN right on the screen.  You can also factory reset a device by using a paperclip or something similar to press and hold the reset button you access through the pinhole on the back for no less than 30 seconds with the power connected.
