Can you connect a Roku to an HDMI on the back of a DISH hopper receiver?
I've searched all over but not seen this topic discussed.
I pulled up the connection guide for the Dish Hopper to see what connections are available. The Hopper only has one HDMI port, and it is only used to connect the Hopper to your display, either through an AVR or directly to the TV. It does not have any inputs of any kind, so no you cannot connect any other device to the Hopper.
The Roku has an HDMI output port. I’m 99% sure the only HDMI ports on your Dish device are also output ports. So, that’s not going to work.
If you’ve run out of HDMI inputs on your TV or AVR, consider an HDMI switch, or an AVR if you don’t already have one.
