We moved to another state a year ago so our Roku sticks have not been used for a year. I connected them and turned on the TVs. On one TV I originally got the Roku menu (Hulu, Netflix, etc), but on the other TV just a black screen with the Roku logo bounding around. The 2nd time I turned on the first TV I got nothing, just the black screen with the Roku logo bounding around. What could be the issue?
Hi @Fyentz,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
We would like to know how to identify and take a closer look to see how we can help. Is there a light showing on your device? How are you powering the device? Is it plugged into the TV USB port, or is it plugged into the wall outlet with the provided cables? In addition, have you tried using another HDMI port on your TV as well as trying your device on another TV to see if you are seeing the same issue?
With more information, we will be able to assist you further.
Best regards,
Mary
Thank you, Mary,
No, the light wasn't on! Totally forgot I had to turn it on after connecting it. Then all the apps wanted me to sign in/sign up, which we didn't have to do before. My son suggested updating Roku, and now it's working well.
Hi @Fyentz,
Thanks for the update!
We're glad to know it's working now. Happy Streaming!
If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know.
