Activation Issues with a new account

I am trying to activate my Roku. I went through the steps required to create an account and it is active. That said, the activation screen on the tv has not updated to reflect a new account. I’m stuck in an activation loop.

If you can connect to an alternate network like your phone's hotspot try that to get through the initial setup.
