I have two ROKU TVs in my home. Apple TV loaded just fine on one but I couldn't even find the APPLE TV app on the other ROKU TV via their Search feature. I was told that the ROKU TV that won't show the APPLE app might be old enough that ROKU didn't have a licensing agreement with Apple TV when that set was manufactured. I was told if I purchased a Roku Express 4K that that would solve the issue and deliver APPLE TV to the Bedroom TV.
NO SUCH LUCK.
Am I doing something wrong? Or did Roku steer me wrong when they told me to buy the Express 4K to make sure I can receive APPLE TV? $40 down the toilet? And ROKU refuses to have one of their Customer Service people contact me to solve the issue!
Where are you located? Location might be the reason or age of the Roku. Roku has no say in what models of Roku get Apple app, it's all Apple.
I’m in Los Angeles County., California. Apple certainly is offered here as my den TV has the Apple TV app. Works perfectly.
What's the Roku model number displayed under Settings->System->About? I'm not sure if this list is still up to date, but does the model number appear on it?
