Roku remote app isn’t connecting anymore

This doesn't do a thing. App hasn't worked on my phone in over a year. How about some real help

I see you're having trouble connecting your Roku Mobile App to your Roku device, and I would like to take a closer look so we can get this sorted out. 

Could you let me know more about?

  • What troubleshooting steps you have tried so far to resolve the issue?
  • What is the brand/model of your mobile phone where the app is installed?
  • Are there any error messages when trying to connect the app to your Roku device?

In the meantime, make sure that you have downloaded the official Roku Mobile App, and ensure that it is connected to the same network as your Roku device.

@TheBeardedPiperWhile I can't guarantee this is the solution, its possible the problem is due to WiFi channel congestion and the best way to find out is using a network app like WiFi Analyzer for Android or something similar in the App Store..Once installed, you tap and see how many others are using the same channel/band, then log into the router and switch to a channel with less congestion. If you happen to be using service provider modem/router its possible the channels are being selected with the default 'auto' setting which often creates the problems. Hope that helps
