I am using
- Roku Ultra 4640X, ver 12.5.5 build 4174-29
- Roku Android app ver. 10.0.3.3107844
- Pixel 6a with Android 14 updated to Feb. 5, 2024
I can use private listening with wired earphones plugged into the remote. Very consistent and reliable.
I can use private listening with a wired earphone plugged into the Pixel 6a via a USB adapter, using the Roku Android app. Also consistent and reliable.
But if I try to listen using the Pixel 6A, the Roku Android app, and a Bluetooth earphone, the Roku app freezes. If I kill and restart the app, I can sometimes get it to work by "forgetting" and reconnecting the Roku device, then starting private listening. But I can find no combination of steps that makes it work reliably.
