If your Roku app isn’t connecting to your Roku TV, the first thing to check is whether both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. You’d be surprised how often they end up on different ones, especially if you have multiple networks at home.
A quick restart of both your phone and the Roku TV can also work wonders—it’s a simple fix that solves more problems than you’d expect. Another thing to check is whether your Roku TV allows external control. There’s a setting for that under advance system settings, and it should be set to default or permissive so the app can find it.
If your phone still won’t connect, try adding the Roku TV manually using its IP address. And if all else fails, sometimes just updating or reinstalling the Roku app does the trick.
