After setting up and activating your Roku device/RokuTV, you can used Remoku to control the Roku. (can be used from within browser or as a browser extension.)
Instructions for Remoku can be found here http://help.remoku.tv/
The open source project notes can be found here https://github.com/gonzotek/remoku
----
A nice feature is the ability to use the laptop keyboard for searches, password entries, etc.
Just another Roku user... I am not a Roku employee.
Insignia RokuTV, Ultra 4660, 4802, 4850, Premiere+ 3921, Express 4k+ 3941, Streambar 9102
