Hello,
I have a roku 4. Apparently it's obsolete, so no updates. I mostly use it to play Pandora
About 3 weeks ago, pandora started getting very flaky.
Sometimes it plays for a couple of minutes and gos to the home screen.
The shuffle no longer works.
Sometimes when I choose pandora the screen is blank. If I nagivate to the favorites, it shows my channels but selecting most of them gives a blank screen; some will play but it unpredictable.
Pandora plays vine on my AVR, but I like the display of album covers.
Is this a pandora issue (unlikely but possible) or would getting a new roku solve the problem?
It would be nice if they had a pre-sales line where you ask a question like this but my only hope is that some of you fine people can shed some light on this issue.
Thank you
Judging by the answers they give here, I honestly doubt anyone at Roku could answer your question even if you could contact someone. I haven't used Pandora in a long time, but it seems to be working for me on a 3910, which is hardly the latest or greatest, but does have the latest Roku software. The first thing to check is the version number of the app. Highlight it on the Home Screen and then press the * button on your remote. Mine is version 6.5 build 0. If you have an older version and can't update, that could be the problem.

Same here on my oldest installed Roku, a Streaming Stick 3600. Seems to play fine.
The one issue here is that you have the Roku 4 (model 4400). That model is indeed no longer supported by Roku. In turn, many providers are stopping their support for it as well, Disney being the biggest one. So it's entirely possible that SiriusXM (Pandora's owner) has stopped supporting it as well. In that case, a newer model Roku should work fine. As others have mentioned, Pandora is working correctly on many other models.
