Roku Direct Publisher

I've been researching to find information on how to properly add one live audio feed...it's the only content. No other categories or videos...just one live audio feed.

Is there an example? Any info is appreciated.

Direct Publisher currently only supports videos.   If you want to do audio you'll need to create an SDK channel.

I do have an SDK channel for the audio stream but it uses the poster screen which I believe is being done away with, if I am correct.  

Do you know if there are plans in the near future for ROKU to add the audio stream option using DP? Maybe I can hold off on any other changes until the option is available.

You'd have to get an answer from Roku on that, but my guess is that it won't be any time soon.   The Subscription and In-App Purchasing systems where supposed to be added in Q3/Q4 2017 and we are still waiting for them.   Maybe they will now that they've started doing the Amazon Echo knock-off, they'll start supporting more audio-only systems.

That would be a good idea for certain. One of my channels is 24/7 radio and several others are subscription. Sure hope it happens soon.
