My first channel did shows all videos in every catagory.

I used Vimeo fore a feed. I entered tabs but all of the videos show up in all categories.

unfortunately that is Vimeo 

only 1 category - or all video in all categories. 

If you want to properly use the categories, you need to code your feed or use a software / app that helps you do so. 

you can find some in the forum posts / signatures - some free some not

Thats correct, Vimeo is a great video platform, but it's very limited when it comes to creating content feeds for Roku.
