@CM-B the 40 video limit is a Roku limit in Direct Publisher at this moment you can set up 25 categories with 40 items/ category - an item can be a video or a playlist or a live feed.
if you look in the forum posts , you can find free software's or cheaper one time fee software's , i know @Baradanikto has a free software for example ....... maybe worth looking
There's a general misunderstanding of these limits. The number of videos is not limited to 40 per category (row). According to Roku Partner Success, the limit is imposed on the number of "items", not, videos. This is a significant distinction since an "item" can be a Series with multiple Seasons/Episodes. From Partner Success:
Is there a limit on how many categories/rows or videos I can have in a Direct Publisher channel? Pam 2 years ago Updated Issue Limit on number of content and content categories. Environment Direct Publisher Answer There is a limit of: 25 categories (rows) 40 items per category (row)
Please note, the response states "40 items per category (row)". If this is not correct, the documentation is at fault once again.
My Vimeo doesn’t work either on my direct Chanel please tell me who I can use
@Oliver1234 you can use any hosting that allows video streaming and gives you access to the direct video link .
If you are looking for a robust solution to manage your content feed for Roku Direct Publisher, then I would recommend our OTTfeed.com platform, it was designed to bridge the gap between content and Roku Direct Publisher.
Our pricing starts from $49/month, DM me for more info or go to https://ottfeed.com and request a demo.
Cheers,
I am in a similar scenario.
I have the videos on Vimeo with a Pro plan.
The Channel config in Vimeo is all GREEN , means I should not have any issue, but i dont get to see any video on the TV using the Roku device
same advice for you @yutha , if you want a proper channel use a proper feed , vimeo feed is more like ...... one category if and when it works ........
vimeo pro is goodish for video hosting not really for tv feed generation.
If your videos are not showing up, you should make sure that the 'categories' and 'tags' within your feed file are correct. If you don't define 'categories' in the feed, make sure they are defined in the developer's portal.
