Greetings! We've created our feed as a direct publisher through Instant TV Channel. We've used Vimeo videos as our streaming videos. But our channel continues to fail. Our message errors are that our videos won't play. I wanted to ask the community; how could we get the channel up and published with Vimeo videos. Also, does the publisher need a hosting platform to publish video through Roku? We've worked on this for about two years, and still cannot get published. We need HELP! Thanks.
You need, at a minimum, a Vimeo Pro account. Vimeo Basic & Plus accounts do not provide the URLs required for the Roku platform. You'll also need to make sure that you use the correct Vimeo-provided URL. Vimeo URLs like "https://vimeo.com/68444326" are not Roku-compatible. Instead you need to go to the Settings - Video Files page and use the URLs that start with "https://player.vimeo.com/external/...". This information is valid for any Roku channel, and is not specific to Instant TV Channel.
Alternatively, you can use a Vimeo Access Token along with Instant TV Channel as described here (http://www.InstantTvChannel.com/roku/vimeo). This allows you to use a special URL in the form of "vm://12345678" to pull all of the available Vimeo bitrate renditions for a single video into your channel at the same time.
If you'd like to contact me through Instant TV Channel I can provide more assistance.

Good afternoon and thanks for your reply. I would love to speak with you at your convenience. We have a paid account with Instant TV channel. I just needed an alternative for Vimeo. The Pro account is billed on an annual plan summary and we don't have the funding to squeeze at this time. We really need assistance with this. Our office is 877-476-6895 from Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm Central standard time. Thanks.
