Ok, I see much of my previous errors and have been learning a lot of smooth streaming.. here is my dilemma..
When a video starts to play it gets about 3 blocks of buffer and freezes on my roku 1, on my roku 3 it starts to play and freezes randomly from 30 seconds to 3 minutes in, on my roku stick it plays fine, also this happens with the Silverlight player it loads plays a few seconds and freezing on brandnew windows 8.1 laptop i7.. on my 8.1 desktop i5 (the one I use to make the videos) it also freezes but less often and farther into the stream, on my windows 7 e6500 it plays perfectly but sometimes the audio will come out of synch with the video but then return into synch later on..
Now the common demonitor is this only happens when the video is located on the iis virtual directory for the website. if I move the video to anywhere under c:\inetpub\tvbydemand\.............. it works fine but when on the physical d:\inetpub\.... it does this.. does anyone have any experience with this at all?
Basically about two months ago I ran out of space on my c-drive and added a drive, in iis I added a "virtual directory" to the website on the d-drive. I have tried every possible permissions settings even at one point giving every singled registered "user" and group full access to the folder, I ran the "test" in IIS and it passes.. I also noticed that on slow connetions (4g with bad signal or 3g signals) a raw ,mp4 file will sometimes hang while downloading but if I move the file to the physical drive it does not...
I'm kinda stuck here we are adding three weekly shows to the roku channel two are 1.5 -2.5 hours long and the other is 30-45 minutes long, next month I add celebrity boxing and hulk hogans midget wrestling weekly 2 hour shows to the channel.. I gotta get this fixed beforehad and I'm at my wits end, Microsoft won't help for any price their answer is move to azure.. I've been a Microsoft network guy since windows 2.x with lantastic, I know nothing about Linux but maybe this is the push to start learning... But until I do I really got to get this fixed first.. any help at all will be greatly appreciated cause I'm completely lost in what to do at this point.
