• I set the syntax coloring to VBScript and it works pretty well


• The function list is at the top of the editor window. To turn it on go to View->Show Navigation Bar


• Balance while typing is in the "Editor Defaults" section of the preferences

Thanks for the tips guys! I was under the misperception that the sdk would plug into an IDE. I'll give it a whirl with Notepad++ on my PC and TextWrangler on my Mac to see which I like best.

Go to Settings-Style Configurator. Then under Language, go down to VB/VBS and add brs as a User ext. Someone posted a full style for BrightScript and Notepad++, so you might want to search for that.

That's what I was talking about, but I don't know much about it. I've been meaning to try it, but so far I've just been sticking with the VB/VBS style.

I use Jedit on the mac with the brightscript syntax highlighter viewtopic.php?f=34&t=33897&p=216174&hilit=jedit#p216165 that Malloys created for me, it is more than adequate to get the job done.
