Night Listening Mode (get/set)

Is there a method to know if "Night Listening Mode" is enabled? This information would be useful to know why some audio decoders are not available. It would also be useful if we had the ability to change the mode within the app, without needing to play a video to change it. It would also be great if Roku would allow a channel to disable Roku's info (*) button override during playback (please).

  • Method to "get" night listening mode - e.g. roDeviceInfo.IsNightListeningModeEnabled() as boolean

  • Method to "set" night listening mode - e.g. roDeviceInfo.SetNightListeningMode(value=true as boolean)

  • Option to disable roku overriding the info button during playback (manifest or method) similar to the audioguide options

Re: Night Listening Mode (get/set)

Hm, this is new to me. A bit on a tangent - what kind of dark magic is this "night listening mode"?
Sounds to me like the original Dolby companding - or rather just the dynamic compression w/o expansion. You are saying this does not apply universally to all sounds but only when playing some audio codecs?!

I thought it was ear-plugs and a blindfold, but I guess Roku thinks it's something else: https://support.roku.com/article/226802507-night-listening-mode
