We've encountered an unusual issue with the Roku player regarding HLS renditions. It appears that the player does not play renditions with the "avc1.640032" codec listed in the manifest for reasons unknown. Instead, it defaults to playing the lowest rendition with the "avc1.4D402A" codec. However, when we remove the codec reference from the manifest, it plays the highest bitrate rendition without any issues.
We've conducted tests both on the Roku Stream Tester and a Roku player within the application.
Sample HLS with Codecs in Manifest: https://ottfeed.b-cdn.net/88074/main/play-88074.m3u8
Sample HLS without Codecs: https://ottfeed.b-cdn.net/88074/main/play-88074-5.m3u8
Is it possible that the Roku player doesn't officially support the "avc1.640032" codec? Has anyone else encountered this issue before, and if so, do you have a solution?
Thanks,
