Re: Is developer.roku.com officially dead?

And another bug I've noticed, on 3 separate browsers, is that when I click on your link to the Channel Store and read the description, there's a Read more link. If I click on it, I see the full description. However, clicking the browser's Back button gets stuck in an infinite loop, keeping me on the channel's details page, never going back to the page I started from.

Hello renojim, if I am already logged in that works (which is what I've been using) - but to see what I'm seeing -
use the link you posted https://developer.roku.com/apps
Click the link "Developer site" at the top right navigation bar.
Now where is a link or anything on the page to get to the apps page again? There isn't one for me.

Is this not what you see? The "My Channels" section on the upper right is how you get to your apps.

No Endless, that's not what I see in Chrome - it takes me to this page https://developer.roku.com/home

You mean that the browser fights you "tooth and nail" against leaving the page, no matter how fast you pound on "Back"?
Yes... it does that - and i think i have seen it in other places too. That's icky UX... (and a bug in my book)

Re: The troubled^ developer.roku.com

I've asked the web team to monitor this thread, so as you encounter issues with Developer.Roku.com please post them to this thread. I'm going to rename it something a little bit nicer though.

Re: Improving developer.roku.com

"New portal" seems to disagree with "old portal" on whether it's okay to switch the product type, once published.
see viewtopic.php?f=34&t=95652&p=534919#p534919

Oh, and "new portal" totally lacks "View Transactions" page for the test users,
instead in https://developer.roku.com/users the "View" links redirect to https://owner.roku.com/Developer/TestUs ... actions/...

Re: Improving developer.roku.com

TIL: dev.portal has localized versions (e.g. tries speaking Spanish).
If it tries doing that, it should also use the respective country's correct date format, see
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=95776#p535639

For practical purposes, it's only US and Canada that use MM-DD-YY - rest of the world (incl. UK, Australia, Mexico) does DD-MM-YY, see
http://calendars.wikia.com/wiki/Date_format_by_country

Re: Improving developer.roku.com

Direct link to add channels no longer works. It redirects to https://my.roku.com/index
https://owner.roku.com/add/MYCHANNEL
Where "MYCHANNEL" is the Access code given on the channel details page. In the past this linked to a page to add the specified channel to the users account.  I am trying to send examples of my channels to prospective clients. Did this change?  If so it should be updated in the link given on the https://owner.roku.com/Developer/Apps/Details/MYCHANNEL page when you click on Access code and Vanity code links

Re: Improving developer.roku.com

Trying to update the title of in-channel products results in the following error: "There was an unexpected error in the website. The current page will not load. Close and re-open your browser, navigate back to the website, and try repeating your last actions. If the problem persists, please contact our support team."
We're currently blocked on this as we need to update product titles to be in accordance with certification checklist guidelines.

If the problem indeed persists, open new issue at dev. ralations' attention
A new versions of the dev.portal was unveiled this week and from the sound of it, some parts might be borken.
